Congratulations to a 2021 Graduate of the Thayer High School, Skyler Todd!
Skyler competed in the Congressional Art Competition.
We spoke to Skyler about the award and said he originally painted this piece as a Mother’s Day Gift for his mom, but once it was finished, Jana Miller decided to enter it into multiple competitions.
Skyler said when he first entered the competition, he didn’t expect to receive the recognition that he did.
His piece will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
Skyler will now travel to Washington D.C. where he will compete in a national convention with his painting.
