ST. LOUIS – Bryan Reynolds had a three-run homer among his three hits, Chad Kuhl pitched six strong innings and the Pittsburgh Pirates snapped a nine-game losing streak against the St. Louis Cardinals with an 8-2 victory Thursday night.
St. Louis has lost four in a row and 15 of its last 20 since June 2.

NEW YORK— Royal’s pitcher, Brad Keller labored through five innings in Thursday’s 8-1 series finale loss to the Yankees, allowing four runs on nine hits. The 114 pitches he threw are tied for the second-most in his career.
Wednesday, the Yankees hit three home runs off Keller as the Royals continue to struggle to find wins.
