Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced that Arkansas’s unemployment rate has remained under the national level for 3 months.
In a press release, the governor announced the state’s unemployment rate holds steady at 4.4%.
The national unemployment rate rose from 5.8% in May to 5.9% in June.
The governor says the national number is still unacceptable but expects it to come down as federal stimulus money slows down and employees transition from training to full-time employment.
