A one-vehicle accident that occurred in Douglas County sent a Vanzant, MO man to the hospital on Wednesday morning.
According to arrest records, 46-year old Robert Sheese was traveling northbound on Highway W 5 miles south of Vanzant.
The crash occurred when the 1997 Chevrolet PU failed to negotiate a curve, the driver lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree, and the driver was ejected.
It was reported that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
Sheese was flown by Mercy Lifeline to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of his injuries.
