
The Evening Shade Police Department is reporting the arrest of two people as documents were filed Tuesday from a situation that occurred in June.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the Evening Shade Police Department had been investigating some reports of structure break-ins in city limits.
Officers located a few persons of interest and some stolen property.
Police were searching for Nickoma Herrington and two other people who were potential suspects.
The Department learned that those individuals had been frequenting a former residence of Pollard located on Barnes Road in Evening Shade.
The residence was foreclosed on and resold.
Officers Haley and Poulette with the Police Department went to the property on Tuesday evening and observed Herrington’s vehicle on the property.
Officers began knocking on the door and Herrington finally answered.
Officers cleared the structure and found Mary Bargeil hiding under some blankets.
After sweeping the house, officers found multiple items of drug paraphernalia beside the bed in plain sight.
Harrington and Bargeil are now facing charges of felony residential burglary, felony possession of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
Bond for Harrington was set at $25,000, Bargeil’s bond was set at $7,500.
