Woman recalls events of Sept 11 while on Norfolk, VA Naval Base
Saturday, September 11, 2021, will mark the 20th anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history.
At 8:46 am, American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
As the world turned on their televisions and radios, only 17 minutes after the north tower was hit, United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower at 9:03 am.
At 9:59, the South Tower Collapsed, then at 10:28, the North Tower would fall.
Today and tomorrow, we will take time to remember those who lost their lives in one of the deadliest attacks that ever occurred on US soil.
We spoke to Autumn Ells, a former United States Navy member who was on bed rest, pregnant with her daughter.
She tells us about her experience.
