Suspect In Independence County Shooting Caught Saturday

The second of three suspects being sought in connection with a shooting in Independence County is now in custody.  According to a post on the Independence County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, Joseph Bramblett of Sulphur Rock was arrested Saturday on suspicion of first-degree battery and possession of a firearm by certain persons in connection with the shooting. Bramblett was also wanted as a parole absconder.  A second suspect in the case, Dennis Berger Jr. of Sulphur Rock, was also arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree battery in connection with the shooting. Authorities continue to search for the Third suspect, Michelle Bramlett. The July 16 shooting sent one man to the hospital and sent Independence County sheriff’s deputies on the hunt for three people. When deputies responded to a call of a reported shooting, they found a 36-year-old George Bailey suffering from two gunshot wounds at the edge of a wood line in a field.
