The Football Writers Association of America has announced Tuesday the preseason watch list for the 2018 Outland Trophy.
For the second straight year, Arkansas senior guard Hjalte Froholdt made the list. The Outland Trophy, in its 73rd year, is presented to the nation’s most outstanding interior lineman by the FWAA.
Last Friday, Froholdt was named to the preseason All-SEC Second Team voted on by media in attendance at SEC Media Days.
The Outland Trophy winner is chosen from three finalists who are a part of the annual FWAA All-America Team. The FWAA All-America Committee, after voting input from the entire membership, selects a 26-man first team and eventually the three Outland finalists
