The Mammoth Spring Police Department is reporting the arrest of a man on drug charges.
According to a probable cause affidavit, MSPD Officer Jamie Turnbough came in contact with 44-year-old Chester Arnold during a traffic stop. Officer Turnbough initiated the traffic stop after seeing Arnold’s vehicle travel across the centerline.
Officer Turnbough noticed Arnold was highly nervous and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Turnbough also found that Arnold was a parolee with the Arkansas State Parole Board and had a file search waiver.
After searching Arnold’s vehicle, Officer Turnbough found two contact lens cases containing a small quantity of a crystalline substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
