The St. Louis Cardinals win in “walk off” fashion last night.  Down 4-0 to the Colorado Rockies,  after a Nolan Arenado grand-slam in the 5th inning, the Redbirds began chipping away.  Jed Gyorko hit a solo homer in the 5th, Harrison Bader walked with the bases loaded and Matt Carpenter had a 2-run single to tie the game in the 7th.  The game remain tied into the bottom of the 10th until Marcell Ozuna launched a pitch over the wall in left for the walk off win.

The victory pulls the Cards within 7 ½ game of the lead in the N.L. Central and just 4 out in the wild-card.  The Cards and Rockies play again tonight at Busch.

*Cardinal pitcher Carlos Martinez was removed from the game last night in the 5th inning with a strained right shoulder.

The Kansas City Royals open a 3 game series with the White Sox in Chicago tonight.  Danny Duffey gets the start for KC.
