The Howell County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a man and woman on drug charges.
On Nov. 24, Deputy Foster with the Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 63 south of Willow Springs due to the driver failing to maintain control of the vehicle and crossing over the fog line on the right side.
After a traffic stop was initiated and upon further investigation, a female and male subject was arrested on charges of possession of a stolen firearm, possession of illegal narcotics, and a significant amount of US currency.
Both the male and female subjects were taken to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, booked on their charges, then later released.
A statement of probable cause was forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorneys Office to file formal charges.
