Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrest two for disturbance at Country Store

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two people on Nov. 28. 

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Detective Nathan Long and Deputy Shawn Wilson responded to a disturbance call on State Highway EE at Ray’s Country Store. 

37-year-old Joshua Melton of Mountain Grove was taken and booked into the Douglas County Jail. 

A warrant was issued for felony first-degree burglary, felony second-degree burglary, two felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk, and fourth-degree assault. 

His bond was set at $25,000 cash only. 

33-year-old Christopher Marquez of Cabool was also arrested and booked in the Douglas County Jail on two active warrants from other agencies. 

All subjects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
