Counterfeit money is being reported in Izard County. According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, the Sheriff’s Department has taken numerous reports from several businesses around Izard County of counterfeit money. The counterfeit money has been in the form of $20 and $100 so far. Chief Deputy Melton urges businesses to watch the money that they receive from customers. Also, any individuals who have cash transactions with others.
