WEST PLAINS, MO – The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation recently hosted a chili cook-off among staff to raise funds for its current mobile mammography unit campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise funds to purchase a mobile mammography unit in 2022 to help make routing screenings more accessible for women who might not otherwise have access to this service.

All Ozarks Healthcare departments and clinics were welcomed to participate in the cook-off. Votes were cast by donation. All proceeds raised through voting benefitted the Foundation’s campaign.

Kathy Hellums, sonographer at Ozarks Healthcare, who represented Ozarks Healthcare’s Ultrasound Department, received the winning amount of votes, totaling $264. The cook-off raised $622.73 overall for the Foundation’s campaign.

“We are so appreciative of our coworkers who went above and beyond for our chili cook-off,” Josh Reeves, Vice President of Development at Ozarks Healthcare, said. “The funds raised at the cook-off are just a partial representation of the generous spirit of our staff.”

The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation is accepting donations from individuals and businesses for its mobile mammography unit campaign. The Foundation is also hosting a truck raffle for a chance at winning a 2021 Toyota Tacoma 4×4 Truck to support the campaign.
