One person was killed Sunday afternoon when a boat capsized in Lake Norfork in Baxter County, Arkansas.
According to Arkansas Department Emergency Management spokesman Dan Noble, the crash was reported around 2:45 pm near Gamaliel. He says in addition to the fatality, three people were rescued by a fireboat.
Noble says one person in the boat suffered critical injuries, and was airlifted to Baxter Regional Hospital.
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas Game and Fish, and the Corps of Engineers are investigating the cause of the capsizing. The names of the people on the boat have not been released.
