No injuries were reported after a small plane crashed yesterday near Pomona. Troop G of the MSHP reports that they were notified of the crash around 1pm Monday afternoon, but area residents reported hearing the crash around 10:30 Monday morning. The 84 year old pilot who’s name is not being released left the scene and walked to the West Plains Regional Airport in Pomona to report the incident. The pilot told authorities that the plane lost power causing him to make an emergency landing in a field near N highway. The highway Patrol reports there was damage to the plane along with a fence and a mobile home on the property where he crashed. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.
