The Kansas City Royals losing streak is over as the offense exploded for 9 runs agains the Chicago Cubs last night at Kauffman Stadium. KC jumped out early on a 2 run double by Drew Butero in the 2nd inning. The big blow was a 3-run homer by Adalberto Mondesi in the 7th.
The Royals have the day off today before opening a weekend series at home with the St. Louis Cardinals.
