Two people were injured in a Ripley County crash on Monday.
According to crash reports, a 2005 Hyundai Elantra driven by 87-year-old William Plunk of Doniphan, MO, traveled on Highway 142, ten miles east of Gatewood, when the Elantra failed to yield to a 2014 Chevrolet Suburban and crashed into the vehicle.
The driver, 87-year-old William Plunk, and a passenger, 84-year-old Barbara Plunk of Doniphan, both had serious injuries after the crash and were transported by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
