There is a new app Missourians can take advantage of if exposed to COVID-19.
St. Louis’ Washington University lauded an app named MONotify.
The app was initially meant for patrons of the university, with approval from the Department of Health and Human Service and the State of Missouri.
The system will notify you if you have been in contact with another app user who has tested positive for COVID-19, even if you don’t know them.
Apple also has exposure notifications available for iPhone and Google smartphones, which are available in half the United States.
According to Washington University, nearly 27,000 have used the system, and last month, over 900 alerts were sent to application users.
