Man arrested after authorities conduct home visit in Fulton County

A man was arrested on drug charges in Fulton County. 

Court documents filed on Tuesday said on Feb. 14, Arkansas State Trooper Jason Long and Parole Board Agent Steve Simers conducted a home visit on the residence of 46-year-old Joey Griggs. 

Griggs is a parolee with an active search waiver on file. 

Trooper Long and Agent Simers seized one plastic baggie containing a crystalline substance, field-tested positive for methamphetamine, and one set of digital scales during the search. 

Trooper Long and Agent Simers concluded their search, and authorities placed Griggs under arrest. 

A review of Griggs’ history showed he had been convicted of four or more felonies. 

He is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. 

His bond was set at $5,000.
