The Highway Patrol arrested a Birch Tree, MO man on DWI and drug charges.
Arrest records show 53-year-old Steven Smotherman of Birch Tree, MO was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated – persistent offender and felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
Smotherman was taken to the Mountain View PD, where he was later released.
