Woman arrested for giving wrong name to police, drug charges in Izard County

Two people were arrested in Izard County on Saturday. 

Court documents filed on Monday state that Arkansas State Trooper Remington Lively came in contact with 57-year-old James Loosey, who was operating a vehicle on Highway 5 with a defective windshield. 

Trooper Lively also identified a second person as Rashay Dorothy. 

Both occupants were observed to be highly nervous and shaky. 

After further investigation, Trooper Lively discovered that the woman was lying about her name. 

She was then positively identified as 33-year-old Kyli Woods, who was wanted for arrest with the Arkansas State Parole Board. 

It was also discovered that Loosey is a parolee with the Arkansas State Parole board, with a search waiver on file. 

After a search, authorities located one plastic baggie containing a crystalline substance, one large plastic bag containing a green leafy substance, one glass smoking device, and one half Xanax pill. 

At a later date, the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force tested the substance, which produced a positive result for methamphetamine. 

Woods is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, felony possession with a purpose to deliver a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor obstructing governmental operations. 

Loosey faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, felony possession with a purpose to deliver, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. 

Both of their bonds were set at $10,000.
