This time, it’s more serious than a simple phone call.
Individuals are receiving phone calls from local sheriff’s dispatches, alerting of a warrant out for their arrest, and need to settle with payment immediately.
Do not fall for this, it is a scam.
Both State’s Attorney Generals are warning to hang up the phone and call the sheriff’s office back at the correct number to verify there was no attention needed.
