More details were released on the arrest of a man on child porn charges in Fulton County.
ECNN originally brought you the story on March 12, stating 26-year-old Joel Belcher had been arrested and charged with 14 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting child sex.
An affidavit obtained by ECNN shows that the incident happened on Nov. 30 of last year when a tip was made to the National Center for Mission and Exploited Children.
According to the report, several videos from a user of a social media and email account that was owned by belcher had been uploaded and contained matter depicting sexual material involving children.
Authorities say the videos show underage females engaging in sexual activities.
After tracing the computer’s IP address, it was from an account that was registered inside Fulton County limits and was traced back to Belcher and another individual in another state.
On Jan. 13, a search warrant was obtained for a Google account owned by Belcher and other social media accounts.
Days later, conversations were reviewed that were between Belcher and another individual.
Portions of the chat included the discussion of “trading pictures.”
Four images and ten videos of female children being sexually abused by adult males were found.
