The Texas County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release on Tuesday afternoon that they continue to investigate a homicide that occurred in the county.
According to the release, on the evening of March 28, Texas County Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Pine Flat Drive near Eunice in reference to a suspicious death.
Upon arriving at the residence, deputies located a deceased female with apparent gunshot wounds.
The female was identified as 31-year-old Nikki Goodchild.
While there is no specific threat to the community at this time, the Sheriff’s Office did say people residing in the area may consider precautions such as locking doors and vehicles, and not answering the door for unknown persons.
No suspects are in custody at this time, and authorities continue to investigate. Stay with ECNN for more information.
