The North Arkansas Electric Cooperative has announced members served by the Salem 2 Substation shouldn’t lose power tonight, as crews were able to return the substation to its normal feed safely without taking an outage.

On Monday evening, members served by the Salem 1 Substation will experience an outage beginning around 11:30 pm on Monday, April 18.

It is believed the outage will last around 30 minutes.

NAEC personnel must connect a mobile substation transformer so that regular maintenance on the substation can be performed safely.

The 1,577 affected members should receive a call stating the information sometime today.

The affected areas could include Salem, Moko, Camp, Fryatt, and Mammoth Spring.

Members may identify their substation by entering an account number at NAECi.com/lookup or by calling 870-895-3221.
