The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the arrest of a man after an early morning fatal accident on Monday in Douglas County.
According to crash reports, a 2021 Polaris Razor, driven by 36-year-old Vincent Domrose of Ozark, MO was traveling northbound on a private roadway off Highway U – approximately eight miles north of Ava, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
36-year-old Cody Jefferies of Marshfield, MO was pronounced dead on the scene by the Douglas County Coroner.
Arrest records say Domrose will face a charge of unlawful operation of a UTV under the influence of alcohol.
Domrose was taken to the Douglas County Jail, where he was later released.
This marks Troop G’s tenth fatal accident compared to 12 at this time last year.
