
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has released its official totals from the Memorial Day Weekend.
A release from the department says dispatch received a total of 90 complaint calls or service calls.
In all law enforcement agencies in the county, a total of 24 people were booked for various offenses.
Fourteen traffic violations and two criminal misdemeanor citations were issued, while 36 total warnings were issued for various traffic violations.
Baxter County Deputies also patrolled U. S. Army Corp of Engineers parks and campgrounds under contract. Deputies responded to assist with a water rescue in the Pigeon Creek area of Lake Norfork. A juvenile suffered a broken leg while tubing on the water and was airlifted to a medical facility. No other serious incidents were reported.
