Cardinals Sweep The Dodgers

The St. Louis Cardinals completed the sweep of the Dodgers in LA last night with a 3-1 win.  Trailing 1-0 in the 8th, the Cards tied the game with a home-run from Tyler O’Niel, and then won it in the top of the 9th on a 2-run blast from shortstop Paul Dejong.  Cardinal pitchers held the Dodgers to just 2 hits in the game.  St. Louis has now hit a home-run in 14 consecutive games.  It’s an off day for the Cards today, they go to Colorado for a weekend series beginning Friday night.

With the win last night, the Cards remain 2 ½ games behind Chicago in the NL Central, and stay in the #1 Wildcard spot.
