A Baxter County man was arrested for stealing a vehicle

A Baxter County man has been arrested for stealing a vehicle from his former employer. 41-year-old Joseph David Young had been working doing construction and according to the affidavit, the owner of the vehicle allowed him to use the vehicle to get to work. When his employment ended he did not return the vehicle. Young was arrested after a traffic stop and drugs, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol were found in the vehicle.  Young is charged with felony counts of theft of property and breaking or entering, and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance; criminal mischief in the second degree, possession of an open container containing alcohol in a motor vehicle, and driving with a suspended license. He is also being charged as a habitual offender.

The bond is set at $10,000.
