A man from Bakersfield has been arrested after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a residence near Viola and then set it on fire in the Gamaliel area in Baxter County. 43-year-old Clarence “Clay” Blain Mason is facing felony charges in Fulton and Baxter Counties. In Fulton County, he is charged with Theft of property and in Baxter County, he faces charges of arson and theft by receiving. He is also being charged as a habitual offender. Mason is free on a $20,000 bond.
