The identity of the man shot and killed Monday in Ozark County has now been released. 27-year-old Dewayne Wessel was shot by 42-year-old Brian Dunaway. According to Dunaway, the shooting was self-defense. Dunaway witnessed a domestic assault and told Wessel to stop when Wessel charged Dunaway and Dunaway fired a gun. Dunaway is charged with felony murder in the second degree, felony possessing a firearm and methamphetamine at the same time, and felony possession of methamphetamine. He is being held in the Ozark County Jail without bond.
