One person is dead and another injured after a one-vehicle accident, Wednesday night. The Izard County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:15 p.m. to Wideman Road near the Flat Rock Road intersection.
The driver, of the 2003 Sonoma truck was identified as 36-year-old Mark Sutherland who was air-lifted to a Little Rock hospital. The passenger,37-year-old Edward Laverne James, of Horseshoe Bend was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to Izard County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Charley Melton, road conditions were dry and the investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
