A 9-year-old girl from Jonesboro was injured in a boating accident on Norfork lake. Authorities say the child was swimming and made contact with a boat propeller. The accident happened near Big E Bluff. The boat operator put the boat in reverse and did know the girl was returning to the boat from the opposite direction. The girl was airlifted to a Springfield hospital where she was treated and later released.
