West Plains Police arrest a suspect on multiple burglary charges.

Around 4:00 am on Monday, August 15th, 2022, officers of the West Plains Police Department responded to an alarm call at 114 Washington Avenue also known as Rickie David Jewelers. After the officers arrived, they found the back door to the business broken with blood on it. While canvassing the area they also found the back door to Game Stash broken and a male walking away from the area covered in blood. Officers later found Fish Land, Rush Truck Center, and Get & Go were also victims. The male was identified as 18-year-old Zacchaeus Viers of West Plains. Viers implicated himself in the burglaries and was arrested. A probable cause statement has been sent to the Howell County Prosecutors Office for 3 counts of Burglary 1st Degree, 2 counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, 2 counts of Property Damage 1st Degree, 3 counts of Property Damage 2nd Degree, 3 counts of Trespassing 1st Degree, 3 counts of Armed Criminal Action, 1 count of felony Stealing, and 1 count of misdemeanor Stealing.
