A Baxter County man faces charges from three counties. 49-year-old Raymond Scott Chappell of Midway faces drug charges in Baxter and Izard Counties and is charged with sexual assault in Washington County. In 2019 he pled guilty to charges and was sentenced to 20 years in prison with 8 years suspended. He is being held in the State Prison in the Cummins Unit and was recently denied parole.
