A man from Cabool has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted a man with a sword. 48-year-old David Clay Strunk was arrested Thursday after Texas County deputies responded to a business in Cabool for a reported assault. When they arrived they found a 61-year-old man with a large cut on his face. He was flown to Springfield Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Strunk was later arrested by the Highway Patrol near Mountain View. Strunk was taken to the Texas County Jail where he admitted to striking the victim with the sword. Strunk was charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
