Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon north of Thayer. The Highway Patrol says that 70-year-old Rita Walter of Thayer and 84-year-old Ellen Davis and 85-year-old Richard Davis both from Alton all suffered moderate injuries when Richard Davis made a left turn and turned into the path of the vehicle Walters was driving. All three were taken to Ozarks Health Care in West Plains. The accident happened on Highway 19, four miles north of Thayer.
A woman from Thayer was injured in an accident north of Koshkonong Friday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that 53-year-old Michele Bryant suffered moderate injuries when she failed to stop at a stop sign, crossed through the intersection, and hit a dirt embankment, a tree, and a fence. The accident happened on Highway M at U.S 63 north of Koshkonong. Bryant was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
A man from Salem Arkansas was injured in an accident south of Batesville. 46-year-old Raymond Turley was injured when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Rhonda Tims of Bradford attempted to make a turn and turned into the path of the vehicle that Turley was driving. Turley was taken to White River Medical Center in Batesville. The accident happened on highway 167 south of Batesville.
A Houston Missouri man suffered serious injuries in an accident north of Mountain Grove Friday afternoon. 73-year-old Gerald Ferrou was injured when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road, and hit a sign and a patch of trees. Ferrou was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Highway 95, one mile north of Mountain Grove.
A 16-year-old Ava girl was injured in an accident Friday afternoon west of Rockbridge. The highway patrol reports that the girl was injured when she drove off the road, struck a ditch, and overturned the car she was driving. The girl was taken to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on highway N, two miles west of Rockbridge in Douglas County.
