Three accidents leave 4 people with injuries

Two people were injured in an accident west of Mountain View in Howell County. The Highway Patrol reports that 40-year-old Kimberly Selby of Mountain View suffered serious injuries and a 7-year-old girl suffered minor injuries when Selby failed to negotiate a turn, ran off the road, and overturned. Selby was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on county road 3080, one mile west of Mountain View.

A Gassville Arkansas man was injured in accident west of Mountain Home. 29-year-old Klayton Killian was injured when he drove off the roadway, hit a ditch and went through a fence, and then hit a tree. He was taken to Baxter Health. Killian admitted to taking Xanax before the accident. He was cited for driving while intoxicated (drugs, first offense), refusal to submit to a chemical test, and careless and prohibited driving.

A Mount Pleasant man was injured in an accident north of Batesville. 47-year-old Conner Knowles was injured when a front tire on the truck he was driving blew out, causing the truck to travel off the road, down a steep embankment, and overturn. Knowles was taken to White River Health.  The accident happened on highway 167 north of Batesville.
