The Highway Patrol reports that the UTV, driven by 82-year-old William Schmidt of Houston failed to yield to the car and was hit by the car. 74-year-old Donna Schmidt of Houston suffered serious injuries, William Schmidt suffered moderate injuries and the driver of the car 66-year-old David Martin of Houston suffered minor injuries. The accident happened on Missouri 17, one mile south of Houston. Both William and Donna Schmidt were flown to Cox South in Springfield.
