Arkansas, Missouri and Arkansas State basketball teams all open the season with wins

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Trevon Brazile had 21 points and 12 rebounds in his debut with Arkansas, and the No. 10 Razorbacks beat North Dakota State 76-58 in the season opener for both teams Monday night.

Wichita State transfer Ricky Council led the Razorbacks with 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting.

Arkansas: Hosts Fordham on Friday.

 

 

COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Missouri men’s basketball team set its 2022-23 regular season in motion with a 97-91 victory over Southern Indiana Monday night in front of 10.723 fans at Mizzou Arena. The win gives the Tigers a 1-0 start for the 22nd time in their last 23 seasons. Kobe Brown had 20 points and 14 rebounds in the win.

JONESBORO, Ark. –Sophomore guard Avery Felts scored a career-high 16 points and dished out a career-best seven assists to help lead the Arkansas State men’s basketball team to an 86-55 victory over Harding in its season opener Monday night at First National Bank Arena in Jonesboro.

The Red Wolves go to LSU on Saturday.
