Several area Christmas Parades are scheduled this week including the Thayer and Mammoth Spring Parades. The Thayer Christmas parade is at 2 p.m. and the Mammoth Spring Christmas Parade will be held on at 6:00 p.m. The theme for both parades is “Santa’s Workshop.” To enter a float please contact the chamber offices. The Thayer Alumni Association will hold the crowning for the Thayer Mr. and Miss Christmas winners immediately following the Thayer parade at the Whistle Stop Stage.

The annual Christmas Parade and Tree lighting will be Saturday, in Alton. The pageant and tree lighting will be held at 4:30 on the Oregon County Courthouse lawn at 4:30. Parade line-up will be at the high school at 5:30, with the parade beginning at 6:00.
The Bakersfield Christmas parade and special Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony are set for Saturday. The parade presented by the Bakersfield Auto Club begins at 11 a.m. and the Christmas Tree lighting is at 6 in the Century Bank of the Ozarks parking lot.
The Summersville Christmas Parade is at 7:00 p.m.
