A Mountain View man who was a suspect in the shooting death of a police officer in Stuttgart was shot and killed Thursday. Arkansas State Police say 31-year-old Jacob Cole Barnes fired at two police officers on Wednesday, killing one of them. 45-year-old Sergeant Donald Scoby was killed in the shooting. Yesterday, Barnes exchanged fire with Arkansas State Police SWAT team, wounding one officer. Barnes was shot and killed. ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division is leading the investigation into the shooting.
