
A Cherokee Village Police Officer who has been charged with second degree battery has asked that a lawsuit against him be delayed until his criminal charge Is resolved. Joshua Trivett is accused of allegedly body slamming Randall Lee Veazie of Ash Flat and hitting him in the face with a flashlight. Veazie claims that Trivett broke his nose and jaw by hitting him with a mag flashlight. Veazie filed a lawsuit against Trivett along with the Cherokee Village Chief of Police, Ricky Crook, Ash Flat Police Chief Anthony Wiles, Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts, and police officers, Jack Lowe, Tom Rigsby, Colten Wilson, and the cities of Cherokee Village, Ash Flat and Sharp County. Trivett claims the allegations are the same in both cases. A jury trial is set for June 18th 2019 in Little Rock
