One of the two men charged in the murder of a woman from Birch Tree was in court on Wednesday. Joseph Proffer went before the court and his attorney made three motions. The first was a motion for discovery, the second was a motion for continuance and the third was a notice of hearing. Proffer and Stanley Kenaga Jr are accused of killing 77-year-old Barbara Lynn during a burglary in April 2020. A criminal motion hearing will be held next Thursday, February 9th.
