A woman in Carter County faces charges in connection with the death of a child. Tatiana Gardner was charged after authorities were notified by the medical personnel of possible child neglect. While they were investigating the case the child passed away. An autopsy was done and the coroner reported the child’s death was not consistent with natural causes. Gardner faces charges of abuse or neglect of a child. The Carter County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol are investigating.
