57-year-old Penny Manes suffered serious injuries and 65-year-old Kenneth Manes suffered minor injuries in the accident. The Highway Patrol says that the vehicle that Kenneth Manes was driving hit a dog in the road, then traveled off the roadway and struck a mailbox, and overturned. Penny Manes was ejected from the vehicle. The accident happened about five miles south of West Plains on highway 63.
