WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Awards and accolades will abound at the annual Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Sports Banquet, set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, in the exhibit hall of the West Plains Civic Center, 110 St. Louis St.
Coaches for the Grizzly Basketball, eSports, Softball and Volleyball teams will recap their respective seasons and give individual awards to their team members.
Grizzly Athletics Director Rusty Laverentz will present the Head Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year awards and discuss the future of the Grizzly Athletics program, which includes the addition of baseball, women’s soccer and women’s cross country teams.
Fans also can submit their best bid on a variety of Grizzly memorabilia during a silent auction.
Tickets are $15 each or a table of eight can be reserved for $120. Those who cannot attend but would like to support the Grizzly Athletics program may sponsor a table for $120, organizers said.
