An Independence County man has been charged with two felonies in connection with a stolen firearm. 35-year-old Daniel D. Jones was arrested after the gun owner found Jones in possession of the stolen 20-gauge pump shotgun. Jones is accused of theft by receiving and being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm — both felonies. Jones is being charged as a habitual offender having previously been convicted of four or more felonies. Jones’ bond was set at $10,000.
