56-year-old John Leroy Lewis was arrested after the chase and is charged with felony fleeing, reckless driving, driving while his license is suspended, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to use a turn signal, having a fictitious license plate, and no proof of insurance. He also allegedly had two meth pipes and Xanax pills in an unlabeled prescription bottle which led to charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lewis is free after posting $25,000 bond.
